About Us

Founded in 2021, the Massachusetts Teen Choice Book Award  is the only Bay State award for YA works that are voted upon by the young people of Massachusetts.  The reading committee meets from September to March to curate the list of nominees, and the committee includes an enthusiastic group of more than 20 public and school librarians and educators from across the Bay State.  This all-volunteer committee meets to review and discuss the best of younger teen and YA books that were published in the prior 2 years.
